We are looking for two experienced Infrastructure Engineers below to implement, manage and retire the infrastructure (including physical, virtual, networking and cloud infrastructure) that supports digital services for our high profile Australian Government client.
1) Senior Cloud Infrastructure Automation Engineer
The Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer will be responsible to manage and maintain ICT platforms operating on RHEL Standard Operating Environment (SOE) Ecosystem, including all technical landscape design, installation, configuration, deployment, technical security and operation of ICT components and databases.
Key duties and responsibilities
* Manage the automation, implementation and maintenance of Midrange Unix Infrastructure
* Modernise the current IBM Power Private Cloud environment
* Migrate the Network File System (NFS) from Solaris and retire Hitachi Network Attached Storage (HNAS)
* Patch Solaris environments including upgrading SOE versions
Technical Skills:
* Unix System Administration (e.g. Solaris)
* Linux System Administration for RHEL
* Virtual Machine Provisioning
* Networking (configuration, operation and troubleshooting)
* Ansible Automation Platform (desirable)
* Red Hat OpenStack/OpenShift (desirable)
* IBM Power (desirable)
* Scripting (desirable)
2) Senior Unix Systems Admin Infrastructure Engineer
The Linux Specialist (administrator) installs, configures, maintains, and secures Linux operating systems.
Key duties and responsibilities
* Managing and maintaining Midrange UNIX infrastructure
* Working in key delivery areas to ensure mission critical services are available 24/7 to both our customers and our stakeholders
* While supporting members of our team and of the wider organisation responsible for mentoring junior infrastructure engineers
* Providing critical support to our BAU infrastructure
* Performing incident response and problem management activities
* Providing expertise and guidance to resolve complex issues effectively
* Undertaking essential work to ensure the agency’s compliance to Essential 8
* Supporting the agency after hours as required, and supporting on-call during critical periods
