Advanced Retail Professional – Visual Merchandising, Sydney Brand Centre
The Advanced Retail Professional (VM) of Sydney Brand Centre oversees and is responsible for the visual merchandising experience of an adidas Halo store.
A Halo store is the pinnacle of the adidas Retail experience for adidas consumers as it relates to sales & customer service, people, training & product knowledge, operations, visual merchandising & activation.
Responsibilities include:
- Driving profitability of store by meeting or exceeding sales targets through ensuring the efficient and effective implementation of the global visual merchandising direction in the Sydney Brand Centre.
- Executes the visual merchandising and brand elements within both the Pacific market calendar and Brand Centre specific activations.
- Represents the adidas brand/company brands and products in inspiring and impactful way. Amplifies the brand with every decision and every action.
- Identify sales and KPI improvement opportunities and communicate suggestions to store management to address them and drive commercial success.
- Utilizes all available store and market data to make commercial decisions based on sound analysis and financial judgment.
- Supports a selling and service culture through championing sales execution strategies, product knowledge & training, and by ensuring consumers come first.
- Role models selling & service expectations through being actively present on the sales floor while undertaking visual merchandising actions.
- Presents the store at all times in accordance with adidas' visual merchandising guidelines with a high focus on commerciality.
- Supports Retail and Brand Marketing with store events, brand activations, artist cooperation, community events and experimental zones.
- Train and coach the Halo store floor team on VM standards and commerciality for consistent flawless execution.
- Manages the use of space management by updating of floor plan and fixture allocation based on product presentation movement and analysis of space management results and creation of action plans to improve KPIs.
- Ensures all windows and ISC are presented to an exemplary standard including mannequin dressing and positions, lighting direction, cleanliness, steaming and price communication.
- Supports a culture of inclusion and positivity through open feedback and living the adidas values within the store team.
- Undertakes training for all brand-led activations, collaborations and campaigns in advance of brand timelines and launch dates.
- Maintains a healthy and safe workplace that is compliant with adidas Occupational Health & Safety standards and protocols.
Knowledge, Capabilities and Experience:
- English spoken and written (additional languages are a bonus).
- Minimum 1 years of work experience working as a visual merchandiser in a customer and commercial-focused branded retail environment
- Leads from the front and demonstrates an inspirational attitude that contributes to a positive team environment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to lead discussions in diverse groups of varying sizes.
- Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with key/cross-functional stakeholders and team members along with willingness to set and maintain high standards of performance.
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills.
- Technologically adept, with high proficiency with systems, and software packages including MS Office, MS Powerpoint and MS Excel.
- Knowledge and understanding of store KPIs to make commercial decisions based on sound financial judgement.
