Project Overview
Pluto Train 2 is the expansion of a second LNG train at the existing Pluto LNG onshore facility near Karratha in Western Australia run by Woodside Energy. Woodside Energy is Australia's leading natural gas producer, and Bechtel is excited to be working with this key customer to help meet the increasing global demand for LNG as a transitional energy source.
Job Summary
In this role, you will lead a team and supervise superintendents and/or craft professionals on a project. You will direct craft professional activities and work schedules, and coordinate subcontract work activities and team development. Your oversight will ensure craft professionals have the tools required to be productive, comply with project policies, procedures, and job site work rules and procedures, and perform within specifications, schedules and budgets.
Major Responsibilities
* Leadership / Supervision (discipline supervision of superintendents supporting 50 to 100 craft or responsible for area/facility). Supervise and direct craft activities, subordinate superintendents, and others, as assigned.
* Plan and set work schedules; review work accomplished by each craft.
* Determine workforce requirements and coordinate established area operational plans.
* Oversee tool and equipment usage on the site; manage the preparation of field material requisitions for tools and consumables and ensure that the craft professionals have the tools they require to be productive.
* Ensure that the most current design document is used to complete the work and that all design changes are approved prior to implementation. Ensure assigned construction operations and subcontractors' performance are in compliance with specifications and within schedules and budgets.
* Work with construction field engineers, foremen, and craft professionals in interpreting engineering design documents, vendor documents, and other technical documents. Manage engineering solutions with subcontractors, foremen, and craft professionals.
Education and Experience Requirements
Requires a bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and years of relevant experience or years of relevant work experience.
Required Knowledge and Skills
* Experience in large‐scale LNG or similar construction projects.
* Experience with instrumentation installation and completion, including loop checks.
* Experience working with, supervising, and administering subcontractors and/or direct‐hire craft professional workforce.
* Experience in cable pulling, terminations, and hazardous areas (preferred).
* Good knowledge of relevant Australian standards.
Additional Information
This position has responsibilities that include exposure to changing environmental, construction, and operational conditions, which may include extensive walking in and around an active construction and/or operations site, climbing ladders, working at heights from work platforms including scaffolding and mobile elevating work platforms (MEWPs), use of personal fall arrest equipment, walking and working on uneven surfaces, working in constricted and/or confined spaces, variable work shifts (e.g., day, night, weekends, 1st, 2nd, 3rd shift, etc.), and working in inclement weather. Some lifting may be required. Candidates must be able to use standard issued personal protection equipment (PPE) required for each assigned task (e.g., respirator, harness, life vest, hearing protection, etc.). The Pluto Train 2 Project is a major hazard facility; this is a non‐smoking site and no tobacco products (cigarettes, vapes, lighters, tobacco) are permitted to be brought to the site.

Working rights in Australia without employer sponsorship are required. This position is available to both local and non‐local personnel. For non‐locals (FIFO/DIDO), the working roster is 3/1.
