The Role:front-end construction and contracts Lawyer to join a Canberra real estate and construction team. The construction team is well recognised across three offices for its work for all levels of government, major construction companies and developers for practical and commercial advice. In Canberra, they have a strong government sector focus to their work, which sees them advising on construction projects in the ACT, across the country and internationally in the Pacific.
In this role you will further progress your career whilst working with a supportive, close knit team. You will be afforded excellent training as you will have the opportunity to work closely with a partner and clients on interesting and high quality work. Many members of the team work across both the construction and real estate side of the practice. It is not an expectation that you be experienced in both but there would be opportunities to work across both areas if this is the work mix you are looking for in your next role.
You:
- 4+ years of PQE as a construction lawyer gained at a reputable law firm -Strong academics
- Able to manage matters autonomously from start to finish
- Excellent client management skills
- Strong technical knowledge and business development skills
