Play an integral part behind structural coordination and design on a commercial high‐rise project with a Tier‐2 builder here in Melbourne.
We are partnering with a well‐established Tier‐2 commercial builder to help appoint a Site Engineer with a strong structures background to join a 10+ storey commercial development currently underway in inner‐city Melbourne. This role will suit an engineer who enjoys being hands‐on in the delivery of complex structural works, working closely with the site team to drive quality, safety and program across the build. The project entails a significant structural scope including basements, in‐situ concrete, precast and structural steel. This is a permanent, full‐time role offering a heap of development opportunities with a premier head contractor. The project is also well resourced, ensuring constant support with robust systems in place.
What your day‐to‐day looks like
* Managing and coordinating structural trades (formwork, reinforcement, concrete, precast, steel)
* Reviewing and coordinating shop drawings, RFIs and structural documentation
* Assisting with design coordination and buildability reviews alongside consultants
* QA, ITPs, inspections and compliance documentation
* Supporting the Site Manager and Project Manager with program, sequencing and site reporting
What we need from you
* Degree‐qualified Civil / Structural Engineer
* Strong exposure to structures: in‐situ concrete, precast, formwork, post‐tensioning, reinforcement
* Comfortable interpreting structural drawings and resolving on‐site design issues
* Prior experience with a Tier 1 or 2, head / subcontractor working across structural packages on new‐build projects
