We are seeking a skilled and experienced cultural heritage professional to join our team for multiple projects across Melbourne and regional Victoria.
This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who have a passion for preserving and promoting Australia's rich cultural heritage.
 * The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of the Victorian Heritage Act and regulations.
 * They will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders and community groups.
 * A reliable vehicle and a valid driver's license are essential for this role, as travel to project sites and meetings will be required.
Key Responsibilities:
 * To conduct archaeological surveys and excavations in accordance with Australian standards and guidelines.
 * To prepare and submit reports on CHMP (Cultural Heritage Management Plans) to relevant authorities.
 * To coordinate with Aboriginal stakeholders and community groups to ensure that their cultural heritage is respected and protected.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
 * Listed Heritage Advisor/Archaeologist with First Peoples - State Relations or equivalent qualification.
 * A minimum of 2-5 years' experience in cultural heritage management and preservation.
 * An undergraduate degree in Archaeology or a related field, with a strong emphasis on Australian Aboriginal archaeology.
