Lithgow City Council has an exciting opportunity for a qualified and experienced Electrician to join their team in Lithgow, NSW.
Reporting to the Works Coordinator – Buildings, you will be responsible for providing efficient, effective and professional installation and maintenance of electrical fixtures, fittings, service cabling and associated elements for Council managed assets.
Responsibilities
* Carry out electrical works of maintenance, improvement or construction nature within Council Buildings. In co‐operation with other trades, assist in successful completion of multi‐trade projects.
* Undertake duties associated with the repair and maintenance of electrical installations and system associated with Council's Water and Sewar Operations including specialist knowledge in Pump Station repairs and maintenance, Telemetry control systems, Plan/Diagrammatic Interpretation and Pump Station Operations.
* Carry out electrical tagging of Council's electrical appliances and equipment.
* Liaise with other sections of Council and the public on matters relative to electrical works.
* Be prepared to undertake emergency and or breakdown work outside normal working hours.
About You
* Recognised Electrical Trade Certificate
* Current qualified Electricians Licence
* Current WHS General Induction for Construction Training Certificate
* Minimum of three years post trade experience
* Sound knowledge of WHS and Risk Management requirements
* Class C Drivers Licence
* Working knowledge of statutory and legal requirements relative to the electrical industry
* Demonstrated commitment to the principles of honesty and integrity
* Demonstrated commitment to and understanding of Work Health and Safety
In addition, an ideal candidate would have an elevated work platform ticket, Scaffolding ticket and Safe Working at Heights ticket.
Salary and Benefits
* Between $1,176.78 and $1,301.14 per week, commensurate with your skills, qualifications and experience.
