Job Title: Career Development Specialist
About the Role
We are seeking a skilled professional to drive the delivery of our Regional Industry Education Partnerships (RIEP) program across the region. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing project plans, managing budgets, and coordinating resources to ensure successful project outcomes.
You will build strong relationships with local employers, schools, and community organisations to enhance students' exposure to career pathways. Your collaboration with key stakeholders will focus on implementing state-wide initiatives at a local level, ensuring consistency and quality in outcomes.
The role requires a current driver's licence and access to your own vehicle, with work-related kilometres reimbursed in line with departmental travel guidelines and policy.
About You
* Strong stakeholder relationship management skills
* Experience in managing multiple workstreams simultaneously
* Knowledge of career development principles or relevant projects preferred
* Experience in designing and delivering career development programs
* Sales experience desirable
* Adaptable with excellent communication skills
* Proven ability to manage local budgets
* Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department's Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department's Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people
Essential Requirements
* Hold a valid clearance to work with children (Working with Children Check) for paid employment
* Current driver licence and a willingness to travel
* This position is designated for the employment of an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person
* Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education
