Our chefs play a key role in ensuring our lodges deliver an outstanding, seamless experience and unforgettable culinary experiences.
About The Role
As a Lodge Chef, you will be responsible for delivering a high standard of dining in a truly remote and magical setting. Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing and presenting a delicious three‑course evening meal, following our curated set menu.
- Baking fresh bread daily to accompany dinners.
- Prepping ingredients for lodge hosts to assemble guest lunches.
- Providing meals for lodge staff.
- Managing food storage, ordering, and maintaining a clean and efficient kitchen aligned with eco‑accredited lodge standards.
- Training lodge staff on safe and efficient food preparation practices.
- Ensuring safety for staff and guests, adhering to WHS legislation.
- Working a 21‑day on and 7‑day off roster with one additional day off during your 3 weeks on.
- Commencing in late April 2026 (season runs early May – mid/late September).
Requirements
- Food Safety Supervisor Certificate.
- Current First Aid Certificate.
- Access to a reliable 4WD vehicle (for travel on RDOs).
Desirable Requirements
- Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or overseas equivalent) or above.
- Experience as a Chef de Partie or Sous Chef in a restaurant, hotel, function venue or cruise ship.
