Role Details


St Joseph's School Port Lincoln is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Education Support Officer to work across our Primary and/or Secondary school. Under the direction of the classroom teachers and Inclusive Education Learning Leader, you'll support individual students and small groups with diverse learning needs to achieve their academic goals.

This is a part-time position, consisting of 27.5 hours per week during school hours and term time only. There is flexibility to negotiate part-time hours and days for the right candidate.

Position commencing 26 January 2026.

The successful candidate will play a vital role in fostering a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment that reflects the Catholic ethos and Josephite tradition of our school.


The successful candidate will:

* Actively support and contribute to the Catholic identity and mission of St Joseph's School Port Lincoln, inspired by the Josephite tradition of justice, compassion and service.
* Provide in-class and small group support across Primary and/or Secondary school to assist students with a range of learning, behavioural, and social needs.
* Work Collaboratively with classroom teachers, the Inclusive Education Learning Leader and staff to deliver personalised support strategies that enhance student learning outcomes.
* Demonstrate initiative and creativity in engaging students in their learning while supporting their wellbeing. Previous experience or training with intervention programs would be advantageous.
* Display strong Literacy and Numeracy skills to support student learning across key curriculum areas.
* Communicate effectively and respectfully with students, staff and families.
* Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development provided by the school.
* Willingness to obtain Working with Children Check (DHS) and complete required screening and onboarding process, including undergoing a Catholic Education Screening Check, First Aid training and Responding to Risk, Harm, Abuse and Neglect training.
