Our Rare Earths deposit in Mt Weld, Western Australia, is acknowledged as one of the highest-grade Rare Earths mine in the world and we operate the world's largest single Rare Earths processing plant in Malaysia - so you are joining a unique team! As a team member you will be contributing to the sustainable supply of rare earths metals which are used in oil & gas, electric vehicles, and wind turbines.
Lynas is embarking on an expansion in Western Australia, and we have an opportunity for a driven Civil Construction Supervisor (earthworks and civil concrete) wanting to join us on our journey. Lynas recently announced an approximately $500M project to expand the capacity at the Mt Weld mine and concentration plant to meet accelerating market demand for rare earth minerals. In this exciting position, you will be ensuring that the contractors' work is completed safely, on time, and within budget. This is a fixed term 2-years contract, fly in/fly out (FIFO) position from Perth to Mt Weld on a 2/1 roster.
**As a highly valued member of the Lynas Rare Earths team, you will**:
- Be on the construction site to ensure contractors adhere to the project standards and
- Verifying the contractors' workforce are qualified to carry out the
- Plan and coordinate the contractors' works
- Work with other supervisors to determine the working priorities (interface management and SIMMOPS).
- Ensure the works are carried out in accordance with the project quality standards and
- Focus on safety and ensuring that all the contractors' personnel adhere to the project HSEMP and standards
- Participate and cooperate with internal/external audit process as
- Participate, cooperate, and provide input in the Continuous Improvement Procedure and associated
- Always work in accordance with method statements and risk assessments as
- Ensure health and safety at work
- Report to immediate supervisor all incidents, which have or could result in personal injury or environmental damage
**What you will bring to the team**:
- Relevant experience in the construction industry (Civil discipline)
- Ability to schedule and multitask
- Problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of safety and industrial relations and commitment to compliance
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to articulate and exemplify the purpose and ethos of the organisation
- Thorough knowledge and experience working with software
- Thorough knowledge of and hands-on experience with the development and monitoring of schedules
**Qualifications and/or Skills**:
