HRM Recruitment is partnering with a values-driven social enterprise to appoint 2 x Hospitality Support Trainerd for a program based on the Sunshine Coast.
This rewarding role suits an experienced hospitality professional who is passionate about training, mentoring, and supporting people living with disabilities to build independence through practical skill development.
The Role
The Hospitality Support Trainer is responsible for delivering hands-on hospitality training while overseeing the daily operations of a training café. You will work closely with students undertaking practical learning activities, supporting them to develop workplace-ready skills aligned to their individual goals.
This position combines café operations, student supervision, and training delivery within a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver and support café and cookery training programs aligned to individual student learning goals
* Supervise students undertaking practical hospitality training
* Manage daily café operations including
* Collaborate with operational and training teams to maximise student engagement, attendance and outcomes
* Adapt learning resources and delivery methods to support diverse learner needs
* Maintain accurate student records, training plans, risk assessments and support documentation
* Build positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders
* Contribute to strategies that support café growth and commercial viability
* Manage and resolve issues, complaints or incidents in a timely and professional manner
* Ensure compliance with WHS, organisational policies, legislative and quality requirements

You will bring:
* Demonstrated experience in hospitality operations and café management
* Experience delivering training, coaching or mentoring in a hospitality setting
* Strong organisational, planning and record-keeping skills
* The ability to work autonomously and remain calm under pressure
* Effective communication skills and the ability to engage with diverse groups
* A strong sense of accountability, duty of care and WHS awareness
Qualifications (Desirable)
* Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122) or equivalent, or willingness to obtain
* Relevant hospitality or business qualifications (Certificate, Diploma or Degree)
Mandatory Requirements Applicants must hold or be willing to obtain:
* Current Working with Children (Blue) Card
* Current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
* Valid Australian Driver Licence
* Right to work in Australia
