Job Description
As an Azure GenAI Solution Architect you will architect production‑grade generative AI platforms on Azure, using Azure OpenAI Service, Azure AI Studio, Azure Machine Learning, Cognitive Services, and Azure AI Search. You will design end‑to‑end architectures that securely integrate with existing Azure estates (Entra ID, Private Endpoints, VNET‑isolation, API Management, event‑driven patterns) and meet sovereignty, identity, and availability requirements. You will define reference architectures, solution blueprints, and deployment strategies across AKS, Azure Container Apps, Functions, and Logic Apps, ensuring CI/CD and MLOps through Azure DevOps, GitHub, and Azure ML pipelines. Your work will evaluate latency, cost optimisation, model selection, prompt and retrieval strategies, and operational readiness, and will establish guardrails for observability, resilience, and lifecycle management with Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Log Analytics, and cost governance.
You will provide technical leadership and architectural stewardship, mentoring engineering and data teams, uplifting solution quality, and championing Responsible AI and security‑by‑design. You will embed controls for data protection, access management, model governance, and compliance from day one, aligning GenAI solutions with Azure Policy, Defender for Cloud, Purview, and responsible AI frameworks. Working shoulder‑to‑shoulder with architects, security specialists, data scientists, and business leaders, you will help NCS build scalable, secure, and repeatable Azure AI capabilities.
Qualifications
* Demonstrated experience architecting and deploying generative AI and machine learning solutions in production environments
* Advanced proficiency with Azure AI services, including Azure OpenAI, Azure Cognitive Services, and Azure Machine Learning
* Strong expertise in large language models (LLMs), prompt engineering, and generative AI frameworks
* Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C#, or Java for solution design and prototyping
* Deep understanding of cloud architecture principles, including scalability, security, reliability, and cost optimisation
* Experience designing and implementing enterprise‑scale data pipelines and data governance frameworks
* Proven ability to lead technical teams, mentor engineers, and drive architectural decisions in complex environments
* Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to evaluate trade‑offs and make decisive architectural recommendations
* Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305) or Azure AI Engineer Associate (AI-102) certification
* Experience with multi‑cloud architectures (AWS, GCP) and containerisation technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
* Knowledge of AI governance, responsible AI practices, and ethical AI implementation
* Experience in regulated industries with compliance and security requirements
* Background in data science or machine learning engineering
