A Role Designed for New Graduates
This is a part-time (2 -3 days per week) role located in Geelong, VIC, starting in 2026 (negotiable). This is the perfect opportunity for a graduate psychologist with AHPRA registration, or who's close to completing, and ready to step into a private practice setting that offers structure, support, and career development.
You'll join a team that understands what it takes to transition from study to practice—and you won't do it alone. You'll be fully supported by experienced clinicians, a responsive admin team, and clear systems so you can focus on building your confidence, capability and passions as a psychologist.
What You'll Be Doing
Centred Wellbeing's Graduate Psychologist provides psychological care with empathy and compassion. Day-to-day, you will provide ethical, evidence-based individual therapy and/ or assessments to individuals across the lifespan, tailored to your areas of interest, scope and competency. Opportunities exist to pursue your personal interests, such as family therapy, couples therapy, learning assessments, co-creating and delivering group programs, or developing psychoeducational content. The role will also involve collaborating with other healthcare professionals and participating in ongoing professional development.
What We Offer You
* Fortnightly individual supervision and regular peer consults
* Supportive onboarding and structured mentoring for new grads
* Admin support—we handle intake, scheduling, payments, and systems
* Realistic caseloads— with max 5 clients scheduled per day, we prioritise quality care over quantity
* Career direction—we prioritise supporting you to shape your own path
* Above award rates recognising your hard work through years of study
* Opportunities for flexible work — 2+ days/week to suit your schedule and pace plus opportunities to work from home where aligned with client care
You're a Great Fit If You…
* Hold (or are soon to hold) general registration with AHPRA
* Are emotionally mature, warm, collaborative, and eager to keep learning
* Have experience with therapy and/ or learning assessment placements during your studies
* Use evidence-based approaches (e.g. CBT, ACT, EMDR, Schema, IFS)
* Can work independently to manage clinical and compliance requirements including clinical notes and referrer communications
* Value integrity, kindness, inclusion, and professional growth
* Want to contribute to a workplace that cares about people—not just numbers
Final year students completing registration by late 2025 are encouraged to apply for a 2026 start.
