The opportunity
Our Beachside Holiday Park at Shoal Bay are seeking an enthusiastic Grounds and Maintenance Supervisor to join their dynamic team.
As the Grounds and Maintenance Supervisor you'll contribute to the daily operations, management, and improvement of the Holiday Parks through leadership, innovation and coordination of the Grounds team.
Beachside Holiday Parks proudly offer exceptional experiences to our guests and this role will focus on a high standard of presentation of the Parks grounds, amenities, and assets.
As Grounds and Maintenance Supervisor, you will lead and supervise a small team and play an essential role in proactively scheduling and executing a variety of grounds maintenance and improvement activities, including vegetation management, landscaping, amenities cleaning, and minor building and structure maintenance. This role will engage and supervise contractors and trades people.
Basic computer skills including email, accounts and rostering are required. This is an exciting role for someone who loves being hands-on in a leadership role.
This position requires you to work 38 hours per week on a 7 day rotating roster. This role also includes participation in our on-call after hours service to provide maintenance assistance to our guests as required.
What is a 7-day rotating roster?
Our rosters are scheduled in advance providing you plenty of notice of your shift times and schedules. The rotating 7-day roster means that you will be asked to work across any of the 7 days during the week, Monday to Sunday, for 38 hours per week.
As our business focuses around tourism and there will be times during peak periods where we do require some flexibility from staff with regard to their rosters to ensure we can continue to provide an exceptional experience to our guests. We support a healthy work-life balance and weekend work is shared equally between the team.
* This is a permanent opportunity – working full-time 38 hours / week across a 7 day rotating roster
* Base Salary Range: $68,617 to $77,879 pa based on 38 hours / week + 12% superannuation + on-call allowance + $2,464 retention allowance
* You will be working from Council's Shoal Bay Beachside Holiday Park but may be requested to work across any of the Beachside Holiday Parks.

* Provide supervision and leadership to the grounds team and assist the Manager in the day to day operations
* Provide direction and contribute to the completion of daily activities and duties of the Grounds team.
* Coordinate grounds maintenance and improvement activities within work schedules including vegetation management, landscaping and horticulture, minor building and structure maintenance, site remediate and preparation for larger scale capital works projects
Please Note: For the purpose of recruitment, the title of Grounds and Maintenance Supervisor has been used to reflect the equivalent industry title. Internally the official title of this position is Grounds Team Leader.

* Experience in Holiday Park Operations, Landscaping, Horticulture, Building Trades, or equivalent
* Demonstrated knowledge and skills to apply work practices and work flow within a Holiday Park, including scheduling activities, equipment maintenance, checking quality of work, and knowledge of operational standards
* Effective leadership skills
* Experience with computers including email, accounts and rostering.
