About the Role
As the Head of Department (Curriculum), you will be responsible for leading the curriculum focus in alignment with school and departmental initiatives, supporting the transition to the Australian Curriculum Version 9 (AC v9), and collaboratively enhancing the quality of teaching and learning. You will also play a key role in fostering positive relationships among students, teachers, and stakeholders to support a cohesive and effective learning environment.
Your Responsibilities
As the Head of Department (Curriculum), your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
* An understanding of working in low socio-economic primary schools, with a strong determination to work with community to overcome barriers to learning.
* A background in engaging with the Reading through the Australian Curriculum resources and modules
* their knowledge in using the Equity and Excellence priorities to positively impact the teaching and learning of the school
* a focus on systematic synthetic phonics, particularly in the early years of schooling
* Leading the curriculum focus in line with school and departmental initiatives
* Participate in delivering the transition to AC v9.
* Collaboratively develop the quality of teaching and learning
* Nurture positive relationships between students, teachers and stakeholders.
