Your role at St John of God Midland Hospital
You will provide a high level of personal assistance, secretarial and clerical support to the Head of Department and Private Surgeons in their private practice.- Provides a high level secretarial and reception function to Consultants and patients of the practice.- Ensures that all appropriate administrative processes are carried out to ensure that patients are adequately prepared for their outpatient appointments and/or in patient hospitalisation.- Patient billing, revenue collection and debtor follow-up.- Practice communication - phone, reception, correspondence and patient information.- Operating list administration for private patients - scheduling, and liaising with hospital staff and other personnel.- Liaising with various hospital departments as required to facilitate patient bookings.- Organising / booking referrals ie: xray, ultrasound, CT scanning, MRI, other consultants.- Medical and other secretarial typing as required.- Maintain stock control levels including linen and consumables.- Medical billing and related administration for a variety of doctors.- Accurate patient record keeping as required.- Collation and entry of departmental KPIs and timesheets
You will ideally have experience in working in a busy hospital environment as a PA or Secretary. You will have accurate data processing/keyboard skills and advanced MS Office suite skills.
To succeed you will be customer focused with the ability to use your own initiative and be able to organise and prioritise clerical tasks with mínimal supervision, as well as strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to be flexible and work as part of a team.
