With continued growth, we are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Workshop Manager to lead our dynamic team. 
The Role We are looking for a hands-on Workshop Manager who can take charge of daily operations, manage a team of mechanics, ensure high-quality workmanship, and keep the workshop running smoothly and efficiently. The ideal candidate will be proactive, organised, and passionate about delivering exceptional service while maintaining high safety and compliance standards. 
Key Responsibilities 
- Manage and oversee the day-to-day operations of the workshop 
- Lead, train, and mentor mechanics, apprentices, and support staff 
- Allocate and monitor workloads to ensure timely completion of repairs and services 
- Conduct quality checks to maintain high service standards 
- Ensure compliance with OH&S; requirements and company policies 
- Liaise with customers, providing clear communication on repairs, costs, and timelines 
- Manage parts ordering, inventory, and supplier relationships 
- Monitor workshop performance, productivity, and profitability 
- Prepare and manage schedules, reports, and performance metrics 
About You 
- Proven experience as a Workshop Manager, Service Manager, or Senior Mechanic in the automotive industry 
- Have knowledge about diesel and petrol vehicles 
- Strong leadership and people management skills 
- Trade qualification as a Motor Mechanic (Certificate III or equivalent) 
- Sound knowledge of diagnostic equipment, vehicle repairs, and modern workshop practices 
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills 
- Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities 
- Commitment to workplace safety and quality standards 
- Current Victorian driver’s licence
