About This Role
We are seeking a Senior Extension Officer to join our team in Queensland.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering effective and sustainable extension services to the beef industry, with a focus on developing strategies to increase business profitability and improve land management outcomes.
* This role involves working closely with producers to identify, evaluate and implement initiatives that enhance the profitability, productivity, competitiveness and environmental sustainability of Queensland's extensive beef industries.
* Negotiate, lead, report and undertake activities as DPI coordinator for the statewide Advancing Beef Leaders (ABL) program, coordinating the northern ABL peer group and meeting participant needs.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential for success in this role, as well as a positive attitude and commitment to contributing to the growth and sustainability of our state's agricultural businesses.

Requirements
* Australian Bachelor's degree (AQF level 7 or equivalent) or higher in Animal, Agricultural or Environmental Science from a recognised tertiary institution.
* Postgraduate qualification in a science field is desirable.
