SMS Healthcare is seeking enthusiastic and patient-focused Junior Medical Receptionist/Administrator to join our team at Lasersight Sunshine Coast on a casual basis. We are a busy refractive eye clinic with two surgeons who perform both laser eye surgery, lens surgery and corneal procedures.

About the Role:
As a Junior Medical Receptionist/Administrator, you'll be the welcoming face of our clinic, assisting with administrative tasks such as:
* Greeting and assisting patients with a warm and professional approach.
* Entering referrals and accurate data entry.
* Serving as the first point of contact for all patients and visitors, both in person and via phone/email.
* Answering calls and maintaining patient records.
* Managing billing, processing Medicare/Health Fund claims, and handling surgical bookings.
* Utilising the patient management system to capture relevant patient details, schedule appointments, and process payments.
* Ensuring patient records are maintained as directed by the Practice Manager.
* Handling general inquiries and entering relevant notes into the patient management system.
* Keeping the reception area clean and organised throughout the day.
* Performing ad hoc administrative duties as directed.
About You:
* Previous experience in a retail or customer service role is highly regarded
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Proficient computer skills.
* A friendly, professional, and reliable team player.
* Strong attention to detail with the ability to multitask and stay organised under pressure.
* Customer-focused with outstanding communication skills.
* A warm and enthusiastic personality with the ability to engage effectively with patients.
