The People and Culture Directorate leads the development and delivery of people-related services and initiatives, driving enhancements to organisational culture and employee wellbeing. This includes strategies and programs to attract, retain and develop employees, administering employee benefits programs, and supporting performance management and workplace conduct matters. These initiatives contribute to the successful achievement of our strategic plan through empowering our people and prioritising efficient and effective human resources practices and systems, the safety and wellbeing of our people and leadership capability.
The role
As the General Manager People Consulting, Health and Safety, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the organisation's people, culture and safety landscape. You will provide strategic leadership to the People Consulting, Health and Safety Branch, overseeing the Employee Relations Services, Human Resources Consultancy, and Work Health and Safety teams, to deliver high‑performing, future‑focused services that support a thriving workforce.
In this key management role, you will drive the development, implementation and continuous improvement of workforce management and safety and health strategic initiatives, ensuring a safe, equitable and supportive working environment. You will ensure Extended Leadership Group, Directors and line managers receive expert, solutions‑focused advice that strengthens workforce capability, builds leadership confidence and supports effective decision‑making across the organisation.
We are seeking a strategic, forward‑thinking leader with extensive experience across human resources and / or work health and safety functions. Your ability to interpret complex issues, think analytically, solve problems creatively and communicate with influence will be critical to shaping outcomes at all levels.
