We are seeking experienced Machine Operators with an MC licence to support cable installation, civil works, and plant operations on the Telstra Inter City Fibre Network (ICF) Project, installing optic fibre cables across rural and remote regions of Australia.
This large-scale project plays a key role in improving connectivity across regional communities.
About the Role
You'll be working in rural areas across NSW and be required to work *****-hour days.
You will receive a generous living away from home allowance whilst travelling along with working alongside an inclusive site team.
This is a hands-on role that involves operating heavy machinery, performing civil repairs, and contributing to the overall delivery of the fibre network.
Key Details
Location: Currently in Orroroo, site location changes.
Roster: 21 days on / 7 days off
Hours: 12-hour shifts
Accommodation:
Provided with $120/day allowance, or
Organise your own accommodation and receive $276/day allowance
Key Responsibilities
Operate and drive MC vehicles for material and equipment transport
Rod, rope, and haul fibre optic cables (manual and mechanical methods)
Conduct quality checks on cable installation
Perform civil works including repairing blockages and excavations
Operate a range of machinery – dozer, excavator, vacuum truck, winch, mobile crane, HR truck
General labouring – cutting and repairing fences, hand and mechanical excavation
Qualifications & Experience
MC Licence - Mandatory
Construction White Card - Mandatory
Experience operating large machinery - Mandatory
Excavator and/or Dozer Operator Ticket (and VOC)
Pit, Pipe & Cable Hauling Certification
Working Safely at Heights
High Risk Licence
Vehicle Loading Crane Ticket
