Role Overview: Export Sea Freight Operator
As an Export Sea Freight Operator, you will take ownership of the entire export process, acting as a crucial link between the client, shipping lines, carriers, and international partners. The role combines high-level customer service, compliance, and the technical aspects of documentation and logistics. In this multifaceted role, you will be responsible for managing end-to-end export sea freight operations. Your duties will include, but are not limited to:
* Client and Shipment Communications: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients regarding their export shipments, ensuring clear and timely communication at every stage.
* Regulatory Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to local and international regulatory requirements, maintaining compliance throughout all export processes.
* Shipping Documentation: Prepare, review, and complete all required shipping documents with accuracy and thoroughness, including commercial invoices, packing lists, packing declarations, and Dangerous Goods Certificates.
* Tracking Shipments: Monitor and track all shipments, including transshipments, providing clients with updates and resolving any issues that may arise during transit.
* Customer Service: Deliver a high level of customer service, addressing client needs, queries, and special requests promptly and professionally.
* Liaison with International Agents: Communicate and coordinate with overseas agents, suppliers, and consignees to facilitate smooth and efficient shipments.
* Cartage Coordination: Organise and coordinate the transport of goods for Less-than-Container Load (LCL), Full Container Load (FCL), and Freight All Kinds (FAK) shipments.
* Invoicing: Manage and process invoicing for shipments, ensuring accuracy and timely completion for both clients and internal records.
* Document Receipt: Confirm receipt of original House Bill of Lading (HBL) from consignees, along with all supporting documentation required for customs and compliance.
* Ad Hoc Duties: Undertake additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned by the Branch Manager to support the team and business objectives.

* Export Sea Freight Operations Experience: Demonstrated track record in managing export sea freight processes, with an understanding of the logistical and regulatory landscape.
