**About the Role**:
We now have a full-time, permanent opportunity for a Risk Analyst to join our dedicated team within our Electricity Networks function. This role will report to the Network Risk and Assurance Manager, is accountable for ensuring a best practice data-based approach to quantifying and analysing the risk associated with network safety and catastrophic bushfires arising from the electrical network.
Playing a fundamental role in our business, you will help facilitate data driven insights and recommendations, to reduce the network safety and fire risk through the collection and analysis of multiple datasets.
Additionally, the role will also be responsible for delivering the ongoing activities associated with the organisation's compliance and assurance requirements associated with the Electricity Safety Act. This includes a business hours rostered role to fulfil near-real-time incident reporting to the Safety Regulator.

**What you will deliver**:
- Extracting, cleansing, integrating, and analysing multiple datasets to a gain deeper understanding of causality relating to network safety and fire start events
- Becoming the business Subject Matter Expert for the Bushfire Risk Model for both internal and external stakeholders
- Developing the risk model framework to become more modular, as week as Tableau reporting environment for network safety and fire performance
- Leading the rollout and training of this reporting suite whilst undertaking business improvement projects relating to network safety and bushfire risk management.
**Required skills and experience**:
- A minimum three years' experience in a similar role, including experience with Tableau, dashboard design and delivery
- Working with and migrating complex data sets from both internal and external sources
- Analysing and communicating complex data issues to a variety of stakeholders, including reporting, and business report writing
- Creative and analytical skills to assess and develop risk models
- Experience with working with large and disparate datasets
- Highly effective verbal, written and interpersonal skills as well as business, and commercial acumen
- Knowledge of electricity utility regulatory compliance issues advantageous (but not mandatory)
- Knowledge of electrical distribution safety risk and performance advantageous (but not mandatory)
- A relevant tertiary qualification in engineering / science / statistics / risk or equivalent experience
