About The Service
Singleton Hospital Pharmacy is a small, close‑knit team providing safe, timely access to medicines across all specialist areas of Singleton Hospital. You’ll be working alongside a full‑time Pharmacist, a part‑time Pharmacist, and a Pharmacy Technician.
About The Role
In this role, you’ll be an all‑rounder pharmacy technician, involved in all aspects of the day‑to‑day running of the pharmacy. A typical day or week might include:
- Stock management: ordering, receiving and rotating stock, checking expiry dates, and making sure wards have what they need
- Dispensing support: preparing medications under the supervision of the pharmacist
- Pre‑packs and ward packs: making and maintaining prepacked medications and ward stock packs
- Paperwork and systems: managing documentation, filing, and keeping records accurate and up to date
- General support: helping with anything the pharmacists need to keep the service running smoothly
Non‑negotiables
- Qualified and experienced Pharmacy Technician (hospital experience highly regarded)
- Able to work independently and also collaboratively within a small team
- Reliable, organised and able to manage competing priorities
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to medication safety
- Can be learned on the job: local systems and processes, specific hospital procedures and workflows, familiarity with particular specialist areas within Singleton Hospital
How You’ll Be Supported
- Structured orientation to the pharmacy, hospital wards and key processes
- Hands‑on training days with the current technician (who is going on leave in January) to ensure a smooth handover
- Ongoing day‑to‑day support from a very supportive pharmacist team

Eligibility
To be eligible for employment in this position you must be an Australian Citizen, a permanent resident of Australia, a New Zealand citizen with a current New Zealand Passport, or hold an appropriate visa that allows you to live and work in Australia. Employment of a temporary visa holder will only be offered in line with the conditions and expiry date of your visa.
