Construction Supervisor Job Description
Job Summary
Wood is recruiting a Construction Supervisor to manage project construction and EHS requirements on site. The applicant will ensure compliance with client policies and procedures.
Responsibilities:
* Manage and coordinate multiple subcontractors, including site access, permitting, work planning, and review of lift studies.
* Engage with operational staff to identify high risk activities and EHS support requirements.
* Assist in the planning and review of lift studies and ensure compliance with supplied documentation.
* Conduct regular audits and investigations to ensure thorough site compliance, including work permits.
* Ensure compliance with applicable local, national, industry, and client health, safety, and environment (EHS) laws, regulations, procedures, processes, and management systems.
* Prepare and submit reports to management on current contract status and recommendations for improvement.
* Actively engage and communicate with operations and contractor personnel to educate occupational hazard awareness.
Requirements:
Relevant qualifications in Occupational Health and Safety, 10+ years HSE/construction experience within the pharmaceutical or similar industry, experience managing multi-cultural teams and workforces, and strong technical skills in EHS management and emergency responses are required.
