Our client is an established and highly regarded Sydney strata management business and are seeking an Executive General Managerto lead its next stage of operational and commercial growth. This is a senior leadership role with broad responsibility across operations, people, systems, client service, financial performance and sustainable business improvement. Working closely with the Managing Director, the successful person will strengthen the operating platform of the business, improve systems and reporting, develop leadership capability, drive commercial outcomes and ensure the business continues to deliver a high-quality, professional and responsive service to its clients. The role will suit a commercially astute and practical leader who has operated in strata, property, professional services or another high-touch service environment. Strata experience is highly desirable, but not essential. More important is proven experience leading teams, improving systems, managing client relationships and driving profitable growth in a business where service quality, reputation and operational discipline matter.
Key responsibilities and qualifications:
* Lead day-to-day business operations across strata management, finance, administration, client service and support functions.
* Develop and embed improved systems, reporting, workflows and accountability structures.
* Build, coach and develop a high-performing team.
* Strengthen leadership capability across the business and support the Managing Director with operational execution.
* Drive commercial performance through improved profitability, pricing discipline, cost control and sustainable growth.
* Support client retention and service consistency across complex and high-value schemes.
* Act as a senior escalation point for important client, committee and operational matters.
* Improve visibility across risk, compliance, workload, service delivery and team performance.
* Support technology adoption, process improvement and data-led decision-making.
* Ensure growth aligns with the business's service model, reputation and long-term objectives.
* The right person will bring Senior leadership experience in strata, property, professional services or a related service-based business.
* Proven experience improving business systems, processes and operational performance.
* Strong commercial acumen and confidence managing financial outcomes.
* Demonstrated ability to lead, coach and develop teams.
* Strong stakeholder management and client-facing capability.
* Practical judgement, emotional intelligence and a low-ego leadership style.
* Ability to operate effectively in a smaller, privately owned business.
* A strong appreciation for service quality, accountability and reputation.
* Strata sector experience, highly regarded but not essential.
