Come work with a true national tier one mechanical contractor as they look to develop a local team of design modelers to deliver marquee projects. The engineering team comprises of roughly 30 designers and engineers and have successfully delivered iconic commercial and public developments.
Responsibilities:
1. Workshop Drawings (BIM Modeling):
* Develop detailed Building Information Modeling (BIM) workshop drawings for HVAC systems across multiple projects.
* Utilize Revit to create accurate 3D models, incorporating ductwork, piping, equipment, and other mechanical components.
* Ensure compliance with industry standards and project-specific requirements.
* Collaborate with structural and architectural teams to resolve clashes and optimize spatial coordination.
Clash Detection and Coordination:
* Conduct clash detection using Navisworks to identify clashes between MEP systems, structural elements, and architectural features.
* Participate in interdisciplinary coordination meetings to resolve clashes and streamline system integration.
* Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and external partners
BIM Project Management:
* Maintain and update BIM project documents throughout the project lifecycle.
* Manage version control, ensuring an accurate representation of design changes.
* Collaborate with project managers to track progress and meet project milestones.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
* Proficiency in Revi t MEP modeling and Navisworks for clash detection.
* Strong understanding of mechanical HVAC design principles, load calculations, and equipment selection.
* Familiarity with fabrication processes and construction sequencing.
