About the role:

They are looking for a seasoned leader to take the wheel as Senior Community Manager Lead. You aren't just managing a community; you are building a national infrastructure of connection. You will work directly with the Head of Growth to design the strategy that scales our client from a great idea into a household name. You will lead the charge in connecting with organisers, executing ground-breaking community activations, and building a team of regional Community Managers across the country. Your goal? To prove that Social Over Solo is the future of fitness.

Your Core Mission (Success Metrics): In your first 6 months, your success will be measured by one clear goal: Growth. Specifically, they need to see a significant increase in the number of active users and group organisers setting up events and groups on the app. You will be the catalyst that turns "I should exercise" into "I can't wait to meet my crew".

Key Responsibilities:

* Grow & Lead the National Team: You won't just inherit a team; you'll build one. You will be responsible for hiring, onboarding, and mentoring a high-performing squad of regional Community Managers across Australia. You will set the standard for how they engage their local areas and keep them motivated.
* Building the "Organiser Engine": Just like major marketplaces empower their hosts, you will build the scalable systems (training, rewards, playbooks) that empower thousands of Local Organisers to run their own thriving groups without constant hand-holding.
* Closing the Product Loop: Act as the primary bridge between our users and our Product Team. You will synthesise feedback from the ground to tell us what features need to be built next. You are the voice of the customer inside the boardroom.
* Designing Tier 1 Activations: Create signature national moments (e.g., "National Walk to Work Day" or "The Great Aussie Run Club Meetup") that drive massive brand awareness and user spikes.
* Data-Driven Activation: Move beyond "gut feel" events. Use app data to identify "cold spots" where community activity is dipping and deploy targeted activation campaigns to re-engage those suburbs.
* Championing the Culture & Safety: You are the guardian of our vibe. You'll ensure every touchpoint is inclusive and welcoming. Crucially, you will oversee our safety guidelines, ensuring zero tolerance for harassment and maintaining a safe environment for all members.efficiency

To be successful in this role, you will have:

* A Proven Team Scaler: You have significant experience managing and growing teams. You know how to hire the right talent, onboard them effectively, and lead a distributed workforce to success. You are comfortable being a "manager of managers."
* A Veteran Community Builder: With 10+ years of experience, you've built communities from scratch and scaled them. You understand the "zero to one" journey and the "one to one million" journey.
* Governance & Safety Expert: You have experience handling Trust & Safety. You've developed guidelines, managed crisis communications, and know how to keep a community safe—ensuring organisers follow local laws and safety regulations.
* Commercially Minded: You have managed budgets and P&Ls. You know how to forecast costs for national campaigns and can prove the ROI of community spend. You don't just spend money; you invest it to drive growth.
* Tech-Savvy Operator: You are comfortable with Community & CRM Tech Stacks. You use technology to automate the boring stuff (like tracking attendance or engagement) so your team can focus on the human stuff.
* Inclusive & Energetic: You embody our values. You believe fitness isn't just for elite athletes; it's for the person trying to find a walking buddy just as much as the marathon runner. "Nice to Have" (The Cherry on Top):
* Marketplace Mastery: Experience working in two-sided marketplaces (connecting supply and demand). You understand the dynamics of balancing the needs of Group Organisers (supply) with Members (demand).
* Ambassador Program Architect: You have a track record of building Ambassador Programs. You know how to identify "super-users" and empower them to become leaders in their suburbs.
* Social Activity DNA: A background in the social activity, sports, or fitness sectors. You understand the unique barriers people face when trying to get active and how to break them down.
