Northbourne Youth Initiative is looking for a
Play & Youth Worker
to join our small, friendly team.
Hours:
From 8 hours a week, with the option of more depending on your experience and availability. We are keen to create a role which works for both you and our organisation.
Pay:
Depending on qualifications & experience Starting £25106 per annum
Location:
Elswick, Newcastle
Some of the core sessions we are looking to cover are:
Monday evenings-
our lively
Inters group
ages 11–14
Friday evenings-
our busy
Youth Drop-In for 11-19 years
Saturday Mornings until 1pm-
our
Community Café
, where you'll also help recruit and support volunteers to keep things running smoothly
Alongside these, there's scope for additional hours depending on your experience and what you'd like to bring to the team.
What You'll Do
Run fun, engaging activities with young people.
Build confidence, skills, and friendships.
Support our community café and volunteers.
Help us create a safe, welcoming space for everyone.
What We're Looking For
Someone enthusiastic and approachable.
Experience working with children/young people (in any setting). With a level 3 in youth work or related discipline.
A positive, flexible attitude.
