Our advanced microscopes and AI-based image analysis tools provide profound insights into complex challenges, supporting progress and pushing boundaries.The Field Service Engineer role reports to the Service Manager and is based in Sydney, with remote work covering other regions in Australia. Responsibilities include:Providing Level 1 & 2 support for service requests and emergency field servicing of microscopes and imaging systems.Assisting with installations, commissioning, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting, maintaining detailed service records.Collaborating with service engineers, sales, and technical support to ensure seamless service delivery.The essential requirements include:Certificate, Diploma, or Degree in electronics, engineering, or a related field.Experience as a field service engineer or technician, preferably with microscopes and imaging systems.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and diagnostic skills, including knowledge of computer hardware and software.Travel requirements:Ability to travel within NSW and interstate as needed.Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.Ability to lift and move equipment up to 15kgs.Preferred additional experience in medical device troubleshooting or biomedical fields is a plus.Leica Microsystems offers comprehensive benefits and values diversity.
