Are you hands-on, reliable and take pride in keeping things organised and moving? We're looking for a General Hands to join our team, supporting the safe packing, handling and preparation of panels and component packs for storage and dispatch.
This role is essential to ensuring finished products are packed correctly, handled safely and ready to meet customer and production timelines.
Shift is 6am to 2pm - Monday to Friday.
What You'll Do
* Assist with packing, stacking and handling building products in line with quality requirements.
* Support Machine Operators and team members within the panel and consolidation packing areas.
* Manually move materials and panels safely and efficiently.
* Prepare finished panels and other building products for storage or dispatch.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the packing work area.
* Assist with setup and pack-down to ensure a safe and efficient workspace.
* Conduct basic checks of tools and equipment and report hazards or issues.
* Dispose of waste materials in line with site and environmental requirements.
* Communicate clearly with supervisors regarding progress or material needs.
* Follow all workplace health and safety procedures and wear best practice PPE at all times.
What You'll Bring
* Experience in a manufacturing, warehouse or construction environment.
* A strong focus on safety and willingness to follow instructions.
* Physical capability to perform manual tasks and repetitive work.
* Reliable attendance and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
* Good communication skills and willingness to learn.
Nice to Have but Not Essential
* Forklift or gantry crane licence (or willingness to obtain).
* Experience working with panels, steel or building products.
* First Aid certification.
