Systems Engineers – Defence
SYPAQ is an industry leader in C4ISREW and autonomous systems integration, product development, and consulting services with experienced engineering and IT teams across projects in Canberra, Melbourne, Adelaide, Sydney, and Brisbane. SYPAQ seeks multiple Systems Engineers with Defence experience for a long-term opportunity in Canberra. Each role requires a minimum NV1 security clearance and offers a 12‐month engagement, with two 12‐month extension options.
Overview
System Engineers will deliver specialized technical Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) support to Defence, collating and codifying C4‐related integration data for the Joint Force through models, architectures, databases, visualisations, and representations tailored for analysts, architects, subject matter experts, operators, capability managers, and senior decision makers.
Responsibilities
* Support the directorate and wider Defence community to undertake MBSE using CATIA Magic SoSA including Teamwork Cloud (Magic Collaboration Studio)
* Design, plan and implement an evolution path to keep the MBSE approach fit‐for‐purpose and relevant to the current and future needs of VCDF Group
* Provide training to Defence staff on MBSE Fundamentals, MBSE for decision making and MBSE for Mission Engineering
* Maintain detailed understanding of MBSE toolsets to support long‐term models for Joint Force C4
* Apply MBSE processes to support the development of mission engineering threads
* Apply SysML constructs as the core language of MBSE in Defence
* Develop scripts to support analysis, validation and exportability of modelled data within the CATIA Teamwork Cloud
* Collaborate, facilitate and support demonstrations of modelled content with Joint and Service stakeholders
* Suggest and develop improvements to methods, processes, models and repositories for collating and presenting C4 design guidance and standards
* Collaborate on architecture views and data visualisations to provide an As Is and To Be architectures for priorities such as Undersea Warfare, Multi‐Domain Strike, Integrated Air and Missile Defence, Autonomous Systems and Teaming, Artificial Intelligence, Coalition interfaces and C4 Standards Management
* Apply MBSE and Mission Engineering to formalise outcomes and provide a repeatable engineering process for modern C4 Design
