An exciting opportunity is available in a new premise at Tasmania – Hobart.This is an exciting, highly autonomous role involving the commencement of ALS Environmental operations in Cambridge, Tasmania. As a Sample Receipt & Bottle Dispatch Officer you will have a strong focus on client services and teamwork to ensure successful submission and dispatch of samples for our laboratory.Leveraging your strong customer service skills and attention to detail, you'll engage with internal and external stakeholders in person, over the phone and email, with a commitment to exceeding client expectations in a professional manner.The Day To DayDispatch DutiesPrepare and distribute sample container orders for clients in a timely mannerMaintain local stocks of ALS sample containers, bottles, eskies and literatureBottle dispatch, sample receipt and storage areas kept well-organisedLiaising with clients regarding any ambiguities in bottle order requestsLiaising with ALS Environmental laboratory staff when more local stocks of ALS sample containers, bottles, eskies and literature are requiredRecord keeping for incoming/outgoing freightSample Receipt DutiesReceipt of samples from clients to be repackaged and dispatched to ALS Environmental LaboratoriesRegistration of client samplesArrange couriers and prepare freight for dispatchLiaising with clients regarding any ambiguities in sample submission informationMaintaining documentation of samples and work orders received and dispatchedThe Essentials:Excellent communication, organisational and time management skillsGood presentation, professional attitude and attention to detailDemonstrated reliability and efficiencyA good level of computer literacy (training is provided for internal recording systems)Ability to absorb and retain high levels of informationAbility to process large volumes of samples and records efficiently and within strict timeframesWorking At ALSOur people drive our success at ALS.We are a diverse and dedicated community united by our passion to make a difference in the world.
