Career Advocate – Transition to Work
Are you passionate about making a real difference in people’s lives?
Do you find genuine satisfaction in helping others reach their full potential?
We’re looking for a warm, driven, and empathetic Career Advocate to join our team and support clients on their journey to meaningful, long-term employment.
Transition to Work is a voluntary government program designed to support young people aged 15 – 24yrs, who are not in employment or education. It provides pre-employment support to help clients build into long term employment. Depending on each person's circumstances, services may include résumé assistance, training, work experience, job referrals, and employer connections.
Your Role as a Career Advocate:
As a Career Advocate, you will be a vital part of someone’s employment journey. Working closely with clients in the Workforce Australia program, you will:
- Build strong, supportive relationships to understand individual goals, challenges and barriers
- Celebrate progress and achievements, big and small
- Identify and address barriers to sustainable employment
- Connect clients with training, support services, and job opportunities
- Empower people to take control of their future and thrive in the workforce
What We’re Looking For:
We’re seeking someone who is:
- Passionate about supporting people from all walks of life
- A strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills
- Resilient, adaptable, and proactive in solving challenges
- Able to balance empathy with accountability and outcomes
- Motivated by purpose and committed to positive, long-term outcomes
- Organised, reliable, and committed to meeting compliance requirements
Previous experience in employment services, case management, community services, or training is highly regarded — but not essential if you have the right attitude and transferable skills.
To Be Considered, You Will Need To:
- Have full Australian working rights
- Be willing to obtain a National Police Check
- Have (or be able to pass) a Working with Children Check
- Have (or be willing to set up) a MyGovID account
