Chef de PartiePermanent Role $70-80K PA Port Douglas QLDPOSITION We have a full-time position available for a Chef de Partie in Port Douglas, QLD, 4877.SKILLSThe position requires a minimum of a Commercial Cookery Stream Diploma qualification and at least two years of relevant experience.RESPONSIBILITIES As the Chef de Partie, you will take pride in providing the highest quality dining experience to the guests of the restaurant.
Working closely with the Head Chef and kitchen team, you will be responsible for ensuring the day-to-day requirements for successful running of the kitchen are met, on a timely basis and in accordance with all health and safety requirements.TASKS Supervise and run a designated kitchen section to the standards set by the Head Chef.Prepare and cook food to a high standard, ensuring consistency and quality at all stages.Plan and contribute to menu development, including estimating food and labour costs.Manage stock levels, minimise waste, and oversee ordering of supplies.Maintain a clean, organised, and compliant kitchen environment.Monitor food safety and hygiene practices, ensuring staff follow proper procedures.Lead and mentor junior chefs and apprentices, including delegation and on-the-job training.Support the Head or Sous Chef in maintaining kitchen operations and service flow.Work collaboratively with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service and meet dietary requirements.Conduct regular checks on food quality, freshness, and storage.Perform other duties as directed by Head Chef or Management.Maintain a professional attitude and contribute to a positive kitchen culture.ADDITIONAL ATTRIBUTES Experience in a fast-paced environmentWork well in a team and communicate clearly with othersKnowledge of food preparation and regulation standardsSALARY The successful applicant will receive a salary from $70,000 to $80,000 based on qualification and experience.TO APPLYApplications in Word format should be forwarded to us by clicking the 'Apply' button below.
