Business Support Officer AO3/1 (Ref #EnAPP260521013953) – temporary full‐time assignment (36.25 hours per week) – Cairns.
About the Role
Key responsibilities include:
* Deliver high‐quality customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
* Prepare accurate documentation, reports, correspondence and business records.
* Maintain and update information systems, including Ellipse and Microsoft Office applications.
* Provide administrative support across daily business operations.
* Manage incoming enquiries and appropriately escalates matters when required.
* Support senior staff during periods of absence by ensuring business continuity.
* Develop, maintain and improve administrative procedures, manuals and registers.
* Assist with records management, data entry and document control.
* Coordinate recurring administrative tasks within required timeframes.
* Contribute positively to team culture and continuous improvement initiatives.
About You
Qualifications and skills required:
* Previous administration or business support experience.
* Strong customer service and stakeholder communication skills.
* High attention to detail and accuracy in document preparation and record keeping.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
* A proactive and flexible approach to changing priorities.
* Strong team collaboration skills with the ability to work independently when required.
* Current unrestricted driver licence.
* Ability to commit to full‐time hours (36.25 hours per week).
* Strong Microsoft Office skills including Outlook, Teams, Excel and Word.
* Previous Ellipse experience highly regarded but not essential.
* Must be an Australian or New Zealand citizen or have an appropriate visa to live and work in Australia.
