- ** 12 Month Contract with possibility of extension**:

- ** $70 - $75 per hour + super**

Our Client is a multidisciplinary research organisation with staff located at multiple sites throughout Australia and overseas that strives to solves challenges though innovative science and technology.

**The Role**:
The Finance Operation division is seeking a Payment Support Manager with strong team management, stakeholder management, communication and organisational skills.

The Primary Purpose is to manage the Payment Support Centre in the effective and efficient processing of Purchase Orders and payments within the guidelines of the Procurement Policy.

The Payment Support Centre is also responsible for providing advice to business units regarding interpretation of policy, the process to create requisitions, how to engage with suppliers, and any other purchasing matters. The support centre must ensure that Purchase Orders are raised correctly to ensure accurate capture of financial and procurement information.

**Key responsibilities will include but are not limited to**:

- Provide leadership and management of the Payment Support Centre and monitor individual performance.
- Ensure resource capability is sufficient for workload requirements and work load is evenly and effectively distributed.
- Ensure accurate onboarding of suppliers
- Manage relationships with in-business as necessary regarding policy issues
- Monitor team performance in contract engagements
- Provide regular training for staff as necessary
- Coordinate engagement with the Procurement Team to Training and Development plan requirements
- Work with various stakeholders and suppliers, in a collaborative manner.
- Liaise with clients to anticipate their needs and provide potential options. Take personal responsibility for driving client satisfaction and supporting client needs.
- Communicate openly, effectively, and respectfully with all staff, clients, and suppliers in the interests of good business practice, collaboration, and enhancement of our client's reputation.

**To be successful you will need**:

- Relevant qualifications in accounting and/or CPA qualified or equivalent accounting experience in a financial environment.
- Knowledge of purchasing and supply contract requirements, and knowledge of procurement principles
- Demonstrated ability to manage team and own workloads to achieve results in a professional and timely manner.
- Demonstrated capability in establishing and maintaining productive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated capability to think strategically with Highly developed and influential communication skills.
