The ANZ Finance team is a hard-working, close knit team across Sydney and London. We're supportive, collaborative and work as a team. We regularly meet in person in Sydney office for team meetings, training and social events.
Purpose of the Role
You will be responsible for part of the month end process and the management of the groups banking facilities, including cash forecasting and bank reconciliations.
Strong analytical, budgeting capability will be needed alongside excellent data management and integrity skills to ensure required deliverables are achievable. You will provide support across our Global regions through liaison with our Regional Financial Controllers in Australia and the UK. This role requires a flexible working style to accommodate global business needs.

Key Responsibilities:
You will be responsible for:
* Preparing financial statements for management and governing bodies
* Performing analysis of expenditures and report on variances between actual, forecast and budgets
* Meeting with key stakeholders to review current performance against budget and provide feedback to FC on significant issues.
* Assisting the group's forecasting analysis and budgets.
* Assisting annual upgrades of the financial systems including implementation and testing
* Research, understand and interpret accounting standards and apply knowledge on day to day workings
* Providing oversight to account payables and receivables management.
* Assisting in the group's annual financial audit processes ensuring compliance with statutory requirements including balance sheet reconciliations in blackline system.
* Banking duties, including bank reconciliations, applying receipts and payments against sales invoices and vendor invoices respectively. Daily banking transactions posting and cashflow update.
* Completing BAS returns in accordance to statutory requirements from each country juridic

Essential Requirements
* Nearing completion of either CPA or CA + 5 years' experience in a similar role
* Part-qualified finance professional (desired)
* Bachelor or equivalent degree in Accounting & Finance (desired)
