About The Opportunity
We currently have an exciting opportunity to join the Division Paediatric Medicine as a Nurse Unit Manager, where you will be responsible for:
Coordinating patient/client care delivery within a Health Unit or Community Service using clinical knowledge and experience.
Providing line management, leadership, and coordination of nursing/midwifery and/or multidisciplinary team activities.
Ensuring continuity and quality of patient/client care and outcomes.
Accepting accountability for nursing and/or multidisciplinary practice outcomes within the designated setting.
Identifying and addressing inconsistencies between current practices and established policies.
Developing team performance and fostering a positive work culture to support improved patient/client outcomes.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate.
Registered Nurses with at least 3 years post registration experience.
Demonstrated competence in the relevant area of nursing practice in accordance with the relevant standards.
Effective leadership skills including highly developed skills in communication, problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
Ability to review and improve models of care to be person and family centred.
