About Soul Support
Soul Support provides relationship-first support, built around creativity for neurodivergent young adults aged 17+ across the Gold Coast to Byron Bay. We offer curated mentorship, community-building, and interest-led creative programs - because we believe people flourish when they feel genuinely understood.
About the Role
We're looking for Support Workers who genuinely enjoy connecting with people and want to make a real difference in the lives of neurodivergent young adults. You'll provide in-home and community-based support tailored to each participant's goals, interests, and pace - building relationships grounded in respect, choice, and shared purpose.
This role sits within our Mentorship (1:1 Support) and Community-Building services, with opportunities to be involved in creative programs and short-term respite.
Key ResponsibilitiesDirect Support
* Provide person-centred, 1:1 in-home and community-based support
* Assist participants with daily routines, self-care, and personal hygiene as needed
* Support meal preparation, household management, and domestic tasks
* Assist with appointment coordination and community access
* Support emotional regulation and wellbeing using strength-based approaches
* Facilitate supported community participation at each participant's own pace
Community & Creative Engagement
* Support participants to engage in community-based activities and social opportunities
* Assist in small group settings (up to 1:3 ratio) including social clubs and creative programs
* Encourage participation in interest-led activities such as art, music, gaming, floristry, screenprinting, and chess
* Create low-pressure environments where participants can build confidence and connection
Documentation & Compliance
* Complete accurate and timely shift notes via Shiftcare
* Record and report incidents in accordance with NDIS mandatory reporting requirements
* Maintain participant confidentiality and privacy at all times
* Follow all organisational policies, procedures, and NDIS Practice Standards
* Participate in team meetings and professional development
Collaboration
* Work collaboratively with participants, families, support coordinators, allied healthand the Soul Support team
* Communicate progress, concerns, and observations in a professional and timely manner
* Contribute to goal planning and review processes
* Work closely with the team to capture quality photos & videos of our participants
About You Essential
* Genuine passion for supporting neurodivergent young adults
* Current NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)
* Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card QLD or WWC NSW)
* Current First Aid & CPR Certificate
* Current Australian Driver's Licence and access to a reliable vehicle
* Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and school holidays
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills
* Understanding of person-centred, strength-based approaches to support
* Have your own hobbies, passions and willingness to share them with participants.
Desirable
* Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Disability, Community Services, or related field
* Experience working with neurodivergent individuals (autism, ADHD, etc.)
* Interest or skills in creative areas (art, music, gaming, movement, or making)
* Understanding of the NDIS and SCHADS Award conditions
* Mental Health First Aid certification
* Experience with behaviour support plans or positive behaviour support
* Willing to be in marketing material
