About the role
Are you a Mechanical Tradesperson with mining experience looking for an exciting opportunity in the industry? The Bloomfield Group invites you to apply to join our maintenance team at Rix's Creek Mine, offering a new and family-friendly lifestyle roster.
As a member of our maintenance team, your expertise will be crucial in the upkeep and repair of heavy earthmoving equipment, washing plants, fixed machinery, and infrastructure assets. By providing timely and high-quality maintenance services to our operation, you will play an integral role in achieving both safety and production targets.
Key Responsibilities
1. Perform safe, effective, and efficient preventative maintenance and breakdown support on open cut mobile equipment, CHPP and mining infrastructure.
2. Collaborate with the team on meeting safety, maintenance, and production goals through efficient practices.
3. Perform quality inspections of machinery and document as per legislative and operational requirements.
4. Utilise your expertise to deliver a high standard of work, contributing to the smooth functioning of the mining operation.
5. Demonstrated commitment to safe work practices.
6. Proven experience working on open cut mining equipment and infrastructure (predominantly CAT, Hitachi, and Liebherr).
7. Knowledge of relevant standards and statutory requirements.
8. Experience in troubleshooting and diagnostics.
9. Excellent teamwork and communication skills to collaborate effectively with fellow team members.
10. Current NSW Driver's Licence.
11. Experience on the new generation of CAT drills will be highly regarded.
12. Experience in maintaining and operating in a CHPP environment.
