About the role:
The Manager of the Busselton Margaret River Airport (BMRA) provides a pivotal role supporting the optimisation of one of the most important assets in the region and in the City's commercial portfolio.
Reporting to the Director of Economic and Business Development, the successful incumbent will be required to provide effective strategic leadership and management of all areas of the airport's operations. They will continue to develop and grow this key commercial asset into a strong, commercially sustainable operation.
What you'll bring to the role:
* At least five years' experience in successfully managing an aerodrome in accordance with Australian regulatory and legislative requirements.
* Demonstrated business acumen and commercial development experience with the ability to recognise and develop commercial opportunities to fruition.
* A proven ability to contribute effectively to the strategic direction of the airport.
* Thorough knowledge of Workplace Health and Safety responsibilities and risk management frameworks.
* High level of management skills demonstrated through at least five years in a management position.
* Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills, together with demonstrated advocacy and negotiation skills.
Pre‐employment requirements:
* Current C Class Driver's Licence.
* National Police Clearance (less than six months old).
* Proof of right to work in Australia.
* Pre-employment medical (arranged and paid for by the City).
* Ability to obtain and hold Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC), which includes a Federal Police Clearance.
