YOUR ROLE
Responsibilities
Based out of their Yatala, QLD office, you will use your manufacturing experience to act as the vital link between the design office and the factory floor. You will report directly to the Chief Operating Officer, who previously held this role, providing a rare opportunity for mentorship and exposure to strategic decision‑making. This position involves a mix of desk‑based data analysis and hands‑on shopfloor implementation. You will be part of an ambitious journey, boosting safety, building operational excellence and accelerating your career in a high‑impact environment. This role will see you undertaking the following key responsibilities:
* Drive efficiency and output at the Yatala site through rigorous process optimisation
* Champion LEAN manufacturing principles and lead the implementation of 5S methodologies
* Collaborate closely with Design and Engineering teams, interpreting technical drawings and understanding product constraints to ensure viable improvements
* Identify opportunities for automation and capital improvements to reduce waste and increase safety
* Analyse data and implement solutions that directly influence the bottom line
IS THIS YOU?
With a degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering and 3‑5 years of manufacturing experience, you have the technical foundation but are ready for more ownership in a role that drives real, measurable change. You possess strong technical literacy to speak the language of design teams for smooth collaboration, while earning respect from operations through practical application. A continuous improvement mindset means you see production lines as puzzles of bottlenecks to solve using data and logic, and you're ambitious about growing into leadership.
Role Essential Skills
* 3‑5 years of manufacturing experience with a focus on process optimisation
* Proficiency in LEAN principles, 5S methodologies, and interpreting technical drawings
* Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills across design and operations teams
Role Desirable Skills
* Experience in automation or capital improvement projects
* Ability & willingness to adapt to flexible hours with occasional travel
* Background in electrical distribution or similar high‑growth industries
