About the role
The Motor Claims Assessor role is responsible for assessing and settling motor claims using a Methods Based Assessing and Repair approach. This requires visiting repair shops, customer home & work to inspect vehicle damage, and utilising your trade experience to review appropriate repair methods, confirm correct quote preparation including overall cost of repair whilst providing a superior level of service to our valued customers. In addition, the role will conduct regular quality repair audits to ensure that our customer's vehicles are being repaired to the required industry standards. Actively work with customers to manage repair issues and a seamless total loss process.
What you'll do
* Negotiation with panel and non-aligned repairers to determine most appropriate repair method, cost and quality outcomes
* On road and desktop assessment of different vehicle types utilising Assessing the Suncorp Way and Methods Based Assessing & Repair
* Validating method of repair utilising AudaNet and escribe
* Resolving customer escalations, including back to business and IDR disputes delegation
* Conducting on-road Third Party or non-aligned repairer assessments and negotiating appropriate scope and cost of repairs utilising comparison quotes in AudaNet.
What you'll bring
* Trade qualification (Cert III) in panel beating, spray painting, or mechanics or equivalent experience as a Motor Assessor
* A minimum of 3 years' post-trade qualification experience
* Proven experience in quote writing and assessing/estimating skills
* Knowledge of repair methods, insurance codes, and compliance
* Current unrestricted Australian driver's licence
* Heavy Vehicle (trucks etc.) repair, quoting and estimating experience
* Well-developed assessing and/or estimating skills including those for heavy vehicles (trucks etc.)
* Heavy vehicle repair and WOVR knowledge.
