Kilcomer Group Pty Ltd is a growing civil construction company delivering complex structural concrete and infrastructure packages across major Tier One projects throughout Australia. We specialise in structural concrete, temporary works, precast elements, and complex civil construction solutions.
Due to continued growth, we are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Junior Civil Engineer to join our ACT/NSW team and develop their career within major infrastructure projects.
This is a hands-on opportunity to work directly under experienced senior management and gain real project delivery experience at subcontractor level across live Tier One infrastructure projects.
About the Role
This role is ideal for a recent graduate or junior engineer looking to fast-track their career through practical onsite exposure and mentorship.
You will work closely with senior engineers, supervisors, and project management teams across all stages of project delivery, including planning, temporary works coordination, QA documentation, and onsite implementation.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist senior engineers and project managers with daily project delivery activities
* Gain exposure to temporary works design development and onsite implementation
* Coordinate and manage QA documentation, ITPs, checklists, and project records
* Assist with subcontractor management and site coordination
* Support structural concrete works including reinforcement, formwork, and concrete pours
* Participate in site inspections, planning meetings, and toolbox talks
* Monitor project progress and assist with reporting requirements
* Liaise with site supervisors, suppliers, and client representatives
* Assist with resolving onsite engineering and construction challenges
* Ensure works are completed safely and in accordance with project specifications

About You
* Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (completed or nearing completion)
* Strong interest in civil infrastructure and structural concrete construction
* Willingness to learn and work in a fast-paced site environment
* Strong communication and problem-solving skills
* High attention to detail and eagerness to develop technically
* Ability to work collaboratively within a team
* Driver’s licence preferred

* Previous site experience or internships
* Exposure to QA systems or temporary works environments
* Experience using Microsoft Excel and project documentation systems
