We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to lead the on-site delivery of a landmark 440 MW solar farm. This site-based role (2:1 roster, 12-hour shifts, long-term contract through to December 2027 with extension likely) offers the chance to play a pivotal role in one of Australia's largest renewable energy developments and contribute to the transition to green energy.
About the Role
As Construction Manager, you will oversee the owner's team and provide strong leadership to ensure safe, timely, and cost-effective delivery of the project. You will coordinate daily contractor performance across civil, electrical, mechanical, and balance-of-plant packages, ensuring alignment with project standards and sustainability commitments.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide overall leadership and management of on-site construction activities.
* Drive a safety-first culture and uphold WHS standards.
* Supervise the owner's team to ensure effective contractor oversight.
* Manage daily contractor performance to scope, schedule, and budget.
* Oversee progress across multiple disciplines: civil, electrical, and mechanical.
* Monitor quality, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
* Identify and manage risks, escalating as required.
* Foster collaborative relationships with contractors, consultants, and stakeholders.
* Support commissioning and seamless project handover to operations.
Skills & Experience
* Proven experience as a Construction Manager (or senior equivalent) on large-scale infrastructure projects.
* Exposure to solar farm construction highly regarded; multidisciplinary background across civil, electrical, and mechanical disciplines essential.
* Strong record of managing contractors in complex, large-scale, remote, or FIFO environments.
* Ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams with a focus on safety, quality, and efficiency.
* Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and conflict resolution skills.
* Commercial acumen with experience managing budgets, schedules, and resources.
