Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Plant Mechanic / Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join our workshop team at Mt St Thomas.
This position offers a highly desirable 4 & 5 roster working 12-hour day shifts, providing excellent work-life balance while working with a strong and experienced maintenance team.

Key Responsibilities
* Service, maintain and repair a variety of heavy mobile plant and equipment
* Work on machinery including loaders, screens, crushers and associated plant
* Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic and basic electrical faults
* Carry out preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs
* Complete post-repair testing and commissioning of equipment
* Maintain service records and job documentation
* Work safely and follow site safety procedures
Skills & Experience
* Certificate III in Plant Mechanics, Heavy Diesel or equivalent
* Minimum 2–3 years post-trade experience
* Strong mechanical and hydraulic fault-finding skills
* Experience with loaders, material handling equipment, crushers or similar plant (highly regarded)
* Experience in Caterpillar, Komatsu, Volvo, Liebherr
* Forklift licence (essential)
* MR or HR licence (advantageous)
* Ability to work independently and within a team
* Strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship
