About The Role

This role will be servicing Port Augusta or Whyalla, location will be negotiated

As a Senior Psychologist, You Will

* Provide professional supervision, mentorship, and guidance to psychologists and provisional psychologists.
* Lead the implementation of flexible service delivery models, including telepractice, fly-in-fly-out (FIFO), and external provider programs.
* Contribute to the monitoring of statewide service demands and assist in the triaging and allocation of psychological resources, ensuring timely and appropriate support through internal services and external providers.
* Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, school communities, families, and key stakeholders to develop holistic and effective strategies.
* Contribute to the recruitment, retention, induction, and professional development of psychologists, ensuring adherence to professional and service delivery standards.
* Champion culturally responsive practices, valuing and prioritising Aboriginal ways of knowing, doing, and being.
* Participate in the implementation of a service model supporting integrated and targeted services for children and young people with additional needs.

Qualifications

Essential: Current and full registration (general) with the Psychology Board of Australia.

Psychology Board of Australia approved supervisor.

Desirable: Area of practice endorsement – educational and developmental psychology and/or clinical psychology and/or counselling psychology.

Special Conditions

The successful applicant is required to gain a Department for Human Services (DHS) working with children check (WWCC) prior to being employed which is required to be renewed every five years before expiry. The incumbent will be required to undertake RRHAN –EC (Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect - Education Care) Facilitator Lead (Masterclass) extended course or the online (Fundamentals) course which will be required to be updated every three years.

Remuneration

* AHP3 $104,180 - $111,746 per annum (1.0 FTE) + superannuation (11.5%)
