**About the opportunity**
In this role you will work as part of a team responsible for processing returned equipment, servicing and repairing it in accordance with protocols. You will also be responsible for liaising with customers and trouble-shooting over the phone.
**Duties**
- Attend to customer queries and technical calls.
- Book and process returned equipment.
- Trouble shoot and repair faults.
- Service and maintain equipment on site and occasionally off site.
- Assemble and prepare demo equipment.
- Maintain accurate documentation of servicing and repairs.
- Ensure equipment is assembled according to the required quality standards.
- Maintain stock levels and liaise with internal teams for stock replenishment.
- Ensure the workshop is clean, neat and in good working order.
**Skills and Experience**
- Experience working as a repair technician or bench service engineer within the medical device industry is required.
- Tertiary education in Electronic, Mechanical or Biomedical Engineering would be advantageous.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Strong technical aptitude with the ability to problem solve.
- Process orientated with a focus on quality.
- High level of empathy and able to work in a pressured environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong record keeping.
